Sean Fukuda - FACE STUDY

Sean was the face king. He was full of different interesting faces that he would throw out at me at an instant. “Give me sophisticated. Now joyful. Googly eyes.” He paused and responded “Googly eyes?” I said back, “Just go with it.” So he did and it was great. The difficulty was getting a “genuine” face out of him. I usually do funny or goofy things to get them comfortable which usually allows me to capture a great smile or interesting stare into the camera. Then, near the last 10 min, after he let out all his goofy, his eyes just pierced through the camera lens. When you look at his eyes in some of the shots it’s difficult not to have some sort of emotional impact.
