PETER MAHAR

I believe in honoring the past, celebrating the present, and being intentional about the future. A wedding is the beginning of a legacy for your family for generations to come—it’s a big freakin’ deal, but maybe not in the ways the * cough cough * wedding industry wants you to think. When I get to photograph a wedding, I am increasingly drawn to the quiet (or crazy) moments that will compound in value with each year. When I meet a couple, I start falling in love when I start hearing things like "we're less about the perfect day and more about the real moments" and "we’re just so excited to get married".

I have been married to my kick ass wife since 2013 and we currently have 6 kids! It’s only when I started having kids did I realized how important capturing the right kind of photos is. Your wedding is the start of something truly amazing!

MY game plan

I take weddings very seriously. Which means I do everything I can to make sure my couples have the most relaxed, present, meaningful day as possible. I work with you in advance to make sure I have everything planned out, so come wedding day, you don't have to worry about a thing, and I’m poised to get all the unstaged moments that unfold. I’ve been handling wild wedding days, altered timelines, and (my personal favorite) unexpected weather since 2011. And let’s be honest: I had four boys under four for awhile there, so I’m used to some requisite insanity. I want to tell your whole story, come what may, and give you photos that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe have some blackmail photos on your friends.
