Evergreen Wedding Photos

Melissa and Ben got married in Portland Oregon at the Evergreen, a fantastic event space where guests always have a blast, especially during cocktail hour at the Loyal Legion. She decided to get ready at the Leach gardens, which allowed for a great outdoor space for the formal photos of day. It was a very calm morning getting ready with her mom and friend in the little upstairs library. We then had enough time to get relaxed photos with the two of them and their families, which also gave them more time to connect with each other on their wedding day before the crazy hussle and bustle of the wedding party started.

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
