Joel & Emily | Scholls Valley Lodge Wedding
If you want a crazy-weather, stunning, and perfectly spontaneous and unique wedding day, plan it for April in Oregon countryside.
Joel & Emily got married at their aunt & uncle's beautiful farm in Cornelius, right in the middle of miles of rolling hills and wheat fields. It was one of the most beautiful settings for a wedding ceremony we've ever seen, and since it wasn't even a "venue", perfectly unique and relaxed.
It would have been stunning as-is, but the weather decided to put on quite the show for us, and after on & off rain all morning (we kept peeking out to see if it had let up), it cleared into beautiful sun right as the ceremony was about to start. Everyone piled outside, and then at the exact moment the processional started, the finicky clouds let loose some more rain. Which intensified into a full-force, side-ways, drench-you-in-five-seconds downpour right as Emily started walking up the aisle.
The sun came back out for photos and for their reception at Scholls Valley Lodge. Live music, fantastic food, partially made by their friends and family, and just a great party!
From the beginning of the day, both Joel & Emily were miraculously calm, and just enjoyed their day and trusted us with their photos, despite the very legitimate stressors! We just can't get enough of couples who enjoy their wedding, come what may, and, more specifically, who rock out a rainy day.
