Jon & Adrienne's wedding was probably the most perfect Portland summer day. Their ceremony was at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (beautiful, and everything that photographers hope for--*cough*--air conditioning), and we got to run around the waterfront for the bride & groom portraits. It's rare for us to have a proper "downtown" wedding, so we loved getting to showcase Portland a little. Their reception was at the stunning Sentinel Hotel, where they had great food, followed by more great food (also: ice cream sundaes!), and guests who knew what to do on a dance floor! We had a great time photographing all the dancing, laughing, beer spilling...

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
