Daniel + MJ | Gallon House Farms Wedding

Getting to photograph a real-life wedding together again was amazing after a long winter and a long COVID year of limited, rescheduled, and cancelled weddings. We got to drive ALONE all the way to Daniel and MJ’s wedding at Gallon House Farms in Silverton, Oregon—with coffee and no noisy kids (although Samson’s close to getting a test-run as our reflector-holder!). We’ve known these two since they were born, and they are endlessly happy, hard-working, and mature beyond their years as a couple. Such an honor when we get to be this intimately a part of someone’s wedding, especially someone we know and have gotten to witness live out some of their love story. Their bridal party crew was top-notch (note Daniel and his closer-than-a-brother brother Andy below).

This was our first time shooting at Gallon House Farms, which, much to Peter’s bearded dragon (and bug) raising heart, used to be a mealworm and cricket farm! It was stunning, especially on this absurdly warm April day. They last-minute moved the ceremony outside, which was gorgeous. It’s pretty rare as photographers to get in on juicy late-evening light for a ceremony!

We also loved getting to party with and photograph at least 5 of our past wedding couples—including Daniel’s brother Scott and his wife, Juli, who we photographed 8 years (and 7 little boys!) ago shortly before getting engaged!
