Anthony + Lauren | Cottage Grove Wedding

Louis and I went down to Cottage Grove, Oregon for Anthony & Lauren’s wedding. Louis dominated video and it was especially fun for me getting some wintery black & whites. Loved some of their answers about wedding planning from their questionnaire! Anthony and Lauren did a great job making their day about the people they love and not about fussiness.

What were three things you learned in the wedding planning process you wish you knew before?: 1. Start your guest list the day after you get engaged; it will take the longest.
2. Communicate with family
3. Rsvps will take longer than you think, but they will come in, don't stress!

What are three things you chose to do that you still think were a very good idea? :

1. 10 year rule--what will matter in 10 years? Spend your budget on the things you will remember in 10 years, the relationships you will have in 10 years, and the things that will last in 10 years.
2. Organization is key, you can never over-organize.
3. Book your major vendors first and then work with the budget from there.

Jaime + Rebecca | Silver Falls State Park Wedding

Another fantastic wedding at Silver Falls, so much joy as Jaime and Rebecca joined their two families (they have five left-or-leaving-the-nest kids between them!). Silver Falls has such gorgeous rustic vibes with their getting-ready cabins, not to mention the beautiful waterfall itself. Really enjoyed getting to photograph in the late-summer greenery!

Another favorite part was the music! I can’t think of a wedding with live music that wasn’t amazing. These musicians were a piano duo who could play pretty much any song anyone requested, and it made for an epic party!

From Rebecca:

“We met while we were both working in corrections in prison! We decided to get married because we both agreed that our lives were better with each other being part of it.

“Some of our favorite memories have been when we were out hiking or generally enjoying the outdoors in some capacity. We love Silver Creek Falls and really wanted it to be part of our day as well!”

What are three things you chose to do that you still think were a good idea?  “ 1. I purchased quite a few things second-hand from other brides. 2. I opted for Ling's Moments artificial flowers and only used real flowers for my bouquet and boutonnieres 3. Live music!”
