Baby it's cold out side! That all I was thinking about yesterday as I photographed Lisa and Rich. Not because my hands were numb due to the cold, but because of that cute Christmas song everyone knows. What a darling couple, married 31 years and still seem to "got it". They made my job easy, like most my clients do (except those one people ;). -

Anyhow, it was a regular Christmassy afternoon in Oregon City. Last of the fall colors on the ground, afternoon joggers, occasional strangers that walked by to see what we were up to...you know the basics that make up Oregon City. That is one town I will definitely shoot in again. It has so much character and "warmth", anyone could find fulfillment in life by simply sitting at a nearby coffee shop, reading a book, and sipping on a hot cup of tea, java, or coco. Take your pic and live a little!

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
