Everglades

The evening air was crisp and fresh. The walk along the everglades was magnificent. I drive by this place almost everyday, yet I have never really stopped to take pictures. Tonight seemed like a good a night as ever. So I ventured out, and couldn't find the trail that I always see from the freeway. I started to freak out because I was literally wasting away the daylight hours, I started to run all over the place as if I was in a game of tag.

I finally found a path that would lead me to the walk way. Well it was a long path to say the least. I ran half way , then thought I would take a snap shot of me with my new bag! And then run the rest of the way. When I arrived to the walk way of power lines I lowered myself to the ground to get some good perspectives. Hearing the buzzing from the power lines over head I watched as the clouds literally exploded with light before me. It was magnificent!

I loved the clouds!

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
