Erich & Keely | Family Adventure Session

Adventure: “an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks” OR “an exciting or remarkable experience”.

I love that. Isn't that the definition of life? Life really is an adventure and whenever I can take families on an adventure, that yes, will involve some danger (cliffs, water, heat, sleet, sinking sand?), we capture some truly amazing things together. The worst conditions comfort-wise for shoots often produce the best results. I have shot in such high winds my assistant was pushed over while holding the reflector! The results of the session were some of my favorite photos. Because under intense conditions people seem to thrive. We were all made for adventures—we weren’t made to sit around all day watching TV of other people on adventures.

Eric & Keely are some of our favorites to photograph—they got married over four years ago and we even got to do the Marriage Project with them while Keely was pregnant with their first boy!
