Ryan & Laura | Eugene Oregon Wedding
It was such an honor to be asked to do this wedding, because this wedding marks the complete set of having photographed every wedding for this family—all three of Flynn and Susan’s kids. All three were totally unique weddings, and all three in Eugene! We were already friends with this enormously special family, but being part of such an intimate day as a wedding three times in a row, felt like we were part of the family. What’s interesting is that for each of their amazing weddings, there were some aspects that made things very difficult. I couldn’t walk for Sam and Hadley’s wedding, so I was on a scooter all day, Susannah was a bridesmaid + second shooter when needed, and the soon-to-be-engaged-to-Hadley’s-sister Daniel was our tireless chauffer and bag carrier. Then for Daniel and Kerilynn’s wedding, it was freezing outside and I was a groomsman/second shooter, which always makes things more complex. Then for Ryan and Laura’s wedding right before Christmas this year, it was raining all day and Susannah was sick at home with our sick boys. Needless to say, there’s always been enough love, joy, tears, and all-around family warmth to cover any setbacks.
