I remember our first Facetime interview with Nick and Nicole. I instantly fell in love with their chemistry, quick banter back and forth, and of course their movie star faces. They live in New York and as much as I wish they got married there with me as their photographer, I don’t think they made the wrong decision to fly all the way over to the Northwest for a destination wedding at Mt. Hood Organic Farms. I often forget the jaw dropping location we get to call home. I have photographed a slew of weddings at Mt. Hood Organic Farms now and every wedding of course has been different, but the weather at this wedding made for the mountain to showcase about ten different looks all throughout the day. I’m going to be posting photos from this wedding for a long time!

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
