Greyson & Rhonda | Haystack Rock Wedding

Rain or shine, I don't think the Oregon Coast can ever disappoint. This was the second-to-last wedding for our 2016 wedding season, and I'm so happy it was at Haystack Rock!

The day started out with some sun while everyone was hanging out and playing Cards Against Humanity. Classically, right when Rhonda (the bride), was doing her finishing touches, it started to rain. But if you get married at the Oregon Coast in December, you're kinda expecting that. So we proceeded with the first look on some beautiful grassy dunes regardless. I had Greyson (the groom) hold an umbrella right up to the last minute of the first look, and then we ditched it and let the rain come.

For an exciting wedding, just go to the beach!

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
