Patrick & Katie just straight-up make each other happy. We were lucky enough to get to take their engagement photos, and we could tell immediately that they were perfect for each other. We've known Patrick for years (his giant-like stature and basketball butt-kicking are legendary in our circles), and it's always awesome to see who someone gets together with after knowing them in the past. Katie is 100% The Girl for him. She laughs at his Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions, joins in on his spontaneous dancing, and is beautifully herself, so they pretty much look like models together.

Their wedding day was probably one of the most stunning February days to date. We haven't shot a church wedding in a while, and this church was a beauty! The reception was held at the Tualatin Golf Course--the good food, laughing, and breaking-it-down-on-the-dance floor was abundant.

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
