What an amazing weekend. I was privileged to document an adorable themed wedding in Bend Oregon at the Seven Mountain Resort. Because it was a 1920’s themed wedding I wanted to play around a little with that style of photography poses with a touch of Peter Mahar’s joyful stylishness. Hence a lot of jumping pictures ;)

I love smaller weddings because it really gives me a chance to get to know the friends and family so much more. This helps so much with getting real genuine photos and by the end of the night I can join in on their fun. Let’s not forget about the wedding crashers that showed up to the reception as well, you will see one of them in the dance photos, which explains the tank top. That’s your “where’s Waldo” exercise of the day.

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
