After our year of unexpectedly rainy, sunny & hot-hot, moody and dramatic wedding days, we were given Dane & Jackie's day: nearly-perfect weather and light for photos. The forecast called for rain, but it was a beautifully breezy, cloudy, warm day. We forget what it's like to shoot in more "ideal" conditions--photographing weddings is almost always about adapting to the craziness a day gives you. It's amazing how much more effortless it all is with easy weather!
Dane & Jackie are endlessly cute together--Dane is a sports loving, muscle-flexing softie, and the way he loves her is beautiful (and gold to photograph). His reaction at their first look AND when she came up the aisle really hit us in the feels.
The ladies got beautiful at an Airbnb, and the guys started by getting ready at the stunningly-lit Migration Brewing. (Complete with beers + Voodoo Donuts!). Everyone headed to The Aerie at Eagle Landing for the rest of the day. The rain didn't come until the middle of the indoor reception, but we loved how they opened the dance floor to the outdoor patio late at night. Totally changed the vibe. And man, this crowd were partiers! A total blast to photograph.
