Piano Fort

People trickle in getting a signature key stamp on their hand or writs and wait in anticipation for the bands to start. The venue was the Piano Fort located 1715 SE Spokane St, Portland, decorated with magnificent pieces of art that Sam (the owner) or his friends have made. Lights and candles are spread throughout the shop showcasing the bands in an array of colors.

The mood is set, people are ready, and the first bands starts to play.

The night was a blast, I only wish I was able to stay for the whole thing! Four bands in total played, starting with W.C Beck & The Valiant Swains, then Ezza Rose, Meridian, and Ed & The Red Reds finished it off.

I might add that the Piano Fort is actually a Piano Restoration shop during the day and when they play music they transform it into a very fresh venue. The best part, the stage is build on three Grand pianos!

Cheers,

PM.

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
