History In the Making

The year 1996 came with heavy rains for the Willamette valley. Some of the greatest floods for Oregon in the 1990's with the most casualties and flooded areas. It's nature at its greatest, always coming and going as it pleases with little warning.

In 2012 we see flooding once again. Not nearly as bad as the 1996 flooding but still a grand site to behold. I wanted to go to other locations and get some pictures but my feet brought me to the Willamette falls. Cars and people gathered up and down the falls to catch a glimpse of this historic site. Cameras, tripods, phones, and newscasters came to record its "dangerous" beauty

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
