Generally speaking, I have been specializing in weddings. With that being said I have tried to get away from family portraiture and put more time and energy in my wedding department. However, saying no to the Higginson family seemed impossible. I mean look at them! They were a blast!

First time I ever did all grandkids, so this is actually three separate families and their kids. Probably one of my favorite "Family" shoots I have done to date. I am still going to be doing weddings, but they were so much fun I even joined in for the last photo!

Peter Mahar

I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
