After-Wedding Session | Konza Prairie Kansas Valley Lookout Point

I loved what this couple asked me to do for their photos! Edward and Emma didn’t want to spend much time on the formal photos on their wedding day, so they could focus more on friends and family and having an amazing celebration. So they got all dolled up the next day for a sunset session at a stunning lookout point after getting some cozy pictures around their house and neighborhood. Louis and I got to fly down to Kansas for this wedding weekend, so doing the second session was a perfect way to take advantage of our time with them—and to capture some more wide-open Kansas!

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
