Peter and I photographed Alayna’s senior photos, including goats and her beautiful dog, the first fall that we were married and working together. We all laughed so much during the photo shoot that we decided we should be friends. Over the last few years, we’ve squeezed drinking coffee, making christmas cookies, and long-distance phone calls & cards in between things like her going off to college and me having some babies.
We’ve done photoshoots of her with her dog Sam, her best friend, Jensen just a few months into their relationship, their engagement photos, and almost exactly 6 years after first meeting, I got to photograph her marry Jensen at their beautiful home in Canby, surrounded by their dogs (and friends too).
Jensen is a solid guy, with two boys, gorgeous dogs, and his own dog-training business. Alayna works with him at the moment, and I loved getting to see more of their life together at their wedding—including muscovie ducks, chickens, and at least one? cat. So true to who Alayna was when we first met her in the midst of her well-loved animals.
While Peter photographed Evan & Ashley down in Eugene, the wonderful Rebekah at Rebekah Leona Photography teamed up with me for this wedding (more than second shooting, bless her!) which was especially invaluable as I was 4 weeks postpartum.
The Little Photo Bus totally added to the party with their adorable Volkswagon and hilarious props!
