Cards - Hookah - Wine

I have been shooting more with my Bell and Howell 85mm f/1.4. The more I shoot with it the more I like it. For the price ($300) it's incredibly sharp wide open. You have to be very comfortable with manual focus and it takes a lot of time to get the hang of it, but when you do I think it's worth it. This is the kinda of lens that is "not forgiving", so don't use it for most your action oriented shots. But for portraits and slow moving people it's great.

All the pictures shot at f/1.4 and around 1600 iso. There is only a small lamp in the distance for light.

Cheers

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
