2008 Buell, Trying Out Sound

I really would not consider myself that great at doing videos yet, so doing little projects like this definitely help to exercise those skills. I did branch out a little bit more in this video and played around with the sound. There is the initial track with the girl humming in the background, however over that track is a manipulated track. I took the audio of the motorcycle running and added a robotic sound effect to it, and then I slowed down the frequency and played it backwards. It really adds an eerie feel to the movie, you almost can’t tell it is there, but every once an awhile I increase the volume of the track to add more ambiance. In addition to that I added a few audio clips here and there to increase the tension. I wanted an “out of this world” feel to help make a stand alone product.

Peter Mahar
I'm Peter Mahar, a professional wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I grew up the youngest in crazy family of six--which was great, because I got to make my brothers and sisters laugh, and not-so-great, because I had to sit in the back of the van on the seat with the stupid bump in the cushion. I make pizza and talk a lot. I'm part Italian, so I use a lot of gestures (especially during photo shoots). I love deep conversations, a good fire, and a glass of wine. But most of all, I love Jesus, because He's great and I'm not.
