Mark & Nicole | Zenith Vineyard Wedding
The honest truth is, as great as they are, I hate photographing weddings at vineyards. There is one exception to that rule however, and that’s weddings at Zenith Vineyard. Most vineyards are just one set of rolling hills, too much sun, and the same look everywhere, nothing that exciting. However, Zenith has so much texture, variety, and the location of the venue is perfect. This is the fourth wedding I’ve photographed there, and each one has been so different. They also know how to throw a party which is so important these days. I feel like the wedding industry has taken a turn deeper into being a production: everything being staged. We’ve forgotten how to throw a party and truly celebrate. This is what a wedding is for—for celebrating with friends and family. I want my photos to tell the story of a wedding, I don’t want a wedding to be about my photos. I truly want a couple’s photos to feel like they are transported back to your wedding day and all the fun you had.
Mark and Nicole are truly wonderful people, and their friend who married them gave one of the funniest speeches I have heard in a long time.
