May the Fourth, Oregon City Library Celebration
Yesterday’s excursion to the May the Fourth Star Wars event at the Oregon City Library. The best part of this event is that the kids get to look forward to it happening every year. Two years ago, I (Susannah) took all the kids, and got to meet and talk with the troupe of Mandalorians—a pretty life-changing experience for all of them, which transitioned seamlessly into very dedicated cardboard-armor-making at home ever since. Seeing the Mandalorians in real life is honestly pretty breath-taking, and they were so kind to the kids. This year, one of them remembered our boys and they got to replace last time’s treasured character card with a brand new one.
As of this Christmas, Samson has his own full Mandalorian costume, so he got to take it for its first public spin, and also in tow: a Grogu, a mostly DIY Kylo Ren, and always and forever, Luther as Darth Vader.
